Tooth Preparation

Procera Tooth Preparation

For PROCERA restorations, a tooth preparation of the chamfer type is the optimum choice.  The preparation design is analogous to the architecture of the natural tooth.

  • Chamfer preparation is characterized by thinned margins and cutting with rounded inner angles and edges.
  • To attain optimum adaptation, the occlusal surfaces of posterior teeth should have a relatively flat surface topography.
  • When it comes to preparation depth, the veneering potential of Procera AllCeram permits a variation in preparation depth of between 0.8-1.5mm.
  • For occlusal surfaces in general, and for Procera AllTitan in particular, the same reduction is recommended as dor metal ceramics, depending on the clinical situation.
